SOMeCA is home to about 200 registered student organizations! These organizations are vital to the campus climate and community at the University of California, Santa Cruz for students to truly engage in their college experience.
To get in touch with an organization, email soar@ucsc.edu to ask for the contact information for the organization. SOMeCA can only provide contact information for organizations that are currently registered.

Suspended Organizations
Alpha Phi Omega The chapter is currently suspended as a result of risk management violations including hazing. The chapter is suspended until 2025 and has criteria to establish on the campus. Students for Justice in Palestine The registered student organization (RSO) is currently in interim suspension as of spring 2024, pending a conduct investigation. At this time, the RSO may not engage in any activities reserved for university-sponsored RSOs. Dismissed Organizations
Delta Omega Chi Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2003 as a result of risk management violations including the removal of a koi fish from the pond and its death. Lambda Phi Epsilon Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2018 as a result of risk management violations. Pi Alpha Phi Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2021 as a result of risk management violations including hazing. Psi Chi Omega Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2005 as a result of risk managment violations including hazing. Sigma Pi Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2022 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with university sanctions. Ski & Snowboard Club Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz as a result of risk management violations. Theta Chi Fraternity Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2019 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with University sanctions including hazing.
