    Iranian Student Union The purpose of this club is to create an environment for people who would like to connect to the Iranian culture. It is important for people to connect to a culture they feel they identify with, but also to enjoy the different festivities that are specific to the culture. Making the transition to the University is not an easy one for a lot of people. In a lot of cases, students deal with a loss of identity. Therefore, one of the purposes of the club will be to make the transition for those coming into the school as smooth as possible. Incoming freshmen and transfer students will be matched with club members to help them make the transition as comfortable as possible. ISU is an organization that helps people connect to their identity and for people to feel more attuned with the culture. This club promotes the importance of identity, solidarity, and culture. The purpose is to help people grow and connect to their culture, and ultimately, themselves .
